Tell the EPA: Rein in Toxic Air Pollution in Niagara Falls

Thank you to everyone who signed our summer 2024 petitions!

In summer 2024, we collected signatures on two petitions:

1. A petition to NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and the Environmental Protection Agency asking those agencies to intervene to force a faster clean-up of the coal ash ponds at NRG Huntley, especially given EPA’s recent steps to strengthen ash pond clean-up compliance, and
2. A petition to National Grid asking them to allow the Town of Tonawanda to move forward with plans to turn the Cherry Farm coal ash landfill into a public riverfront park and to replace the playground equipment at Kaufmann Avenue.

Most petition signatures we simply mailed, but we delivered signatures collected to DEC Region 9’s office on Halloween!
