MAY DAY – Raising 30k by May 1 Reunión Anual Marzo 26, Annual Dinner May 1 |
{{ Nombre de pila | comúnizar | por defecto: 'Amigo’ }}, We have an urgent crisis on our hands. A federal attack on environmental justice is threatening Clean Air Coalition’s ability to continue its critical work—and we need your help today. Durante años, Clean Air has fought alongside our community to hold polluters accountable and protect our neighbors from toxic air and environmental harm. When traditional funders moved away from supporting environmental justice, we turned to federal funding, following advice from major institutions. Alongside our local partners, we secured a $20 million grant from the EPA—funding meant to help communities like ours prepare for the worsening effects of climate change. But now, that funding is being blocked and withheld by the federal administration. Our portion of these funds made up over half of our budget for 2025, and we had planned to draw from them by the end of March. Without immediate support, we face a serious cash flow crisis that threatens our ability to continue fighting for environmental justice. That’s why we’re launching an emergency May Day Fundraiser—to aumentar $30,000 by May 1st. Our work has never been more critical. Ahora mismo, we are fighting to stop cancer-causing chemicals from being released into our community by the Goodyear plant in Niagara Falls. We are defending our right to breathe clean air, even as institutions like the EPA are being defunded and gutted of experienced, nonpartisan scientists. These attacks are designed to make us feel powerless. But together, we are strong. Will you stand with us today? Your donation—whether it’s $25, $50, or $250—will ensure that the Clean Air Coalition can continue protecting our community, holding polluters accountable, and fighting for a healthier future. Donate today to help us start our fundraising campaign off strong and stay tuned this month for related events, y join us on March 26 for our Annual Meeting – pulse aquí para registrarse! Thank you for standing with us in this critical moment. Con pan y rosas, Puente, cris, cindy, gia y kiera PS – interested in helping plan our Annual Dinner? Reuse Brownfields for Renewable Energy! |
The Office of Renewable Energy Siting and Electric Transmission (ORES) is presently accepting public comments on a draft environmental impact study about building out electrical transmission capacity across the state to address years of disinvestment and modernize our grid for renewable energy projects. While we are broadly in favor of this plan, we also see this as an opportunity to urge ORES to prioritize siting of projects on remediated industrial brownfields. Please take a moment to sign our petition which we will be digitally delivering March 18 – click here to sign! We will also be at the public hearing tomorrow, Martes, Marzo 4 en 5:00 pm at the Frank E. Merriweather Jr.. Biblioteca, 1324 Jefferson Ave in Buffalo, for the public hearing on this matter, and urge your attendance. |
